Streszczenie The article reviews selected studies in the field of social evaluation of the use of socially assistive technologies in education. The analysis began with a theoretical introduction to the problem of technology evaluation. The next step was to define the different types of assistive technologies. The next part of the paper analyzed and compared the results of selected studies on the opportunities and risks of using socially assistive technologies in education. The conclusions summarize the findings and point to future research directions to be pursued in the near future.
