Streszczenie The 20th century saw a huge expansion of new information technologies and, at the same time, discoveries in the field of sociotechnology have led to an increase in the interest of large economic concerns in influencing people's choice to buy certain products. The 21st century, on the other hand, is a period of rapid development of digital media and information and communication technologies, and of convincing people that the progress of civilisation is aimed at 'moving' people to the new virtual reality. Cyberspace has become a platform for integration, communication, comparison, and has created opportunities to observing and comparing the other ones. Due to the use of new digital technologies, a new type of society has been developed, called the information society, which has mastered the technologies of communication and interpersonal interactions in the sphere of information technologies to the maximum extent, putting them before 'real' interactions, as well as 'face to face' communication.
