THE ISSUE OF THE SUBJECT IN POST-MODERNITY. DISCUSSING THE CHANGE IN THINKING ABOUT THE SUBJECT

Streszczenie The following article considers and analyzes the issue of the subject and subjectivity emerging from the changing reality. It identifies and examines the areas of the formation of the socio-cultural space, inter alia that regarding language, experience, symbolism and imagery, as well as values important to the relationship between the subject entities, which manifest themselves as postmodern forms of interpersonal relations and forms of development of ties on the basis of any agreement. Furthermore, the author of the paper discusses critical to the subject matters, including the precise definition and multi-contextual character of "being" in the perspective of technological interactions, diversity of "being", thinking and acting ethically and seeking agreement in activities aiming at communication that were discussed by various authors, for example: Michel Foucault, Theodor W. Adorno, Hans G. Gadamer, Charles Taylor, Włodzimierz Lorenc and Jürgen Habermas. Moreover, the article is also an attempt to capture changes occurring in the way of a human’s functioning as a subject in the post-modernity and in the ways of perceiving a human being.
