Abstract Socialization is the process of learning and adapting to the social norms, values, and behaviors within a given society, which allows individuals to establish relationships, cooperate with others, and integrate into society. Socialization plays a significant role in society as it enables individuals to participate more fully in social life. Through socialization, individuals internalize social norms and values that are essential for the functioning of society. The focus of this article will be on a specific type of socialization, namely school socialization, which plays a crucial role in shaping the social skills and interactions of individuals. From the perspective of the considerations made in this article, attention will also be paid to the globalizing processes of the contemporary world, with a particular empha-sis on the phenomenon of McDonaldization, which is an inherent element of globalization. The aim of the article will be to analyze selected aspects of the school socialization process from the perspective of McDonaldization and its determinants, such as efficiency, calculability, predictability, and control, as well as the irrationalities of rationality. The research approach in this article will be the method of literature studies, as well as the method of description, explana-tion, analysis, and synthesis.
