Abstract Temporary work is one form of flexible employment. In recent years, it has gained considerable importance bringing benefits to both the employee and the user employer. This paper presents the legal regulation of temporary work. It points out the essence of this form of employment and its three-party nature, describing the conditions of temporary work employment relating to the contract between the temporary employee and the Temporary Employment Agency. The paper also clarifies the contract between the user employer and the Temporary Employment Agency, the time limitations of concluding a temporary employment contract, as well as the obligations of the user employer and the Temporary Employment Agency. The final section points out the rights, obligations and entitlements of the temporary employee. It concludes with an assessment of the legal regulation of this form of employment, points out its weaknesses and possible further amendments, which in effect constitutes a presentation of the author's de lege ferenda postulates
