Abstract The aim of the content contained in the article is to present the results of the author’s research on academic culture among the representatives of generation “Z”. The subject of this study is the degree to which SGGW pedagogy students practice behaviours that are part of academic culture. The authors attempt to determine which of these behaviours are practised most frequently by the respondents, as well as to verify whether the year and the mode of study matter for the degree of their practice. The following text therefore fills a gap in the literature on academic culture in the subject area. The study was conducted by means of a diagnostic survey method using a survey technique and a survey questionnaire research tool. However, the authors suggest that the described study should be treated as a pilot, an introduction to further, in-depth research in this area.
