Abstract The article attempts to present an outline of interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of long-term changes taking place in digital societies. The focus was mainly on the goals, causes and effects of recomposition in the global configuration dimension. In the digital age, societies are most interested in the practical effects of positive changes in society, economy, culture and education. The aim of the article is an attempt to answer the question: To what extent can recomposition, redundancy, emergence and bifurcation contribute to the description and explanation of the civilization and cultural development of contemporary societies? In the search for answers to the above questions, the method of desk research, metaanalysis and a review of the literature (state of art) were used, which made it possible to answer the above question by using the potential contained in the literature through qualitative analysis of content, statistical data and historical comparative analysis.
