Abstract Some scholars predict that the Artificial General Intelligence, if man can create it, could rule the world and mankind. The author of the article considers this problem from a philosophical point of view. The article begins with a brief outline of AI issues; then, the author deals with the ethics that AI brings with it, then with the question of whether superintelligence is to be the "end of history", and finally - with the question of whether AI may be a threat to humanity. The conclusions of the work are that the idea that AI should rule the world is rather "fantastic", nevertheless, it is impossible to ignore the many uses of AI in human life and the amenities it brings with it.
