Abstract The international co-operation in the sphere of higher education is considered as being one of the important factors of human development, as an organic part of international relations. The international co-operation is considered at the three levels: universal, regional, and local. Analyzed were: 1) the role of the international co-operation in the development of higher schools; 2) the quality of higher education within the context of the international co-operation; 3) the realization of international joint education programs; 4) the international mobility of the academic and administrative personnel.
