Abstract The topic – Global climate change and Indian subcontinent: causes and consequences appeared very pertinent to the present times and scenario around the world. Indian subcontinent and the area in vicinity is the house of about one third of the world population and claim a major chunk in the world trade market. Meaning to say that the area under analysis does significantly influence the world and world population. The Indian subcontinent and its climatic mechanisms not only influence India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives but a significant area of China and Taiwan also. Not only has this, but the geographical features of this area played a crucial role in deciding the climate and in turn the life of the people of this area and the world. Thus, the subject of the paper potentially encompasses the life of a huge chunk of the world population (if not all of them).
