Abstract Internet humor is highly productive sphere of autoreflexive cyberculture texts. It is also still more popular alternation of comparative folklore type, so called photoshoplore. On its field, cybercommunities` participants are ironizing and giving some critical expression for such communities and their rules, as for some offline phenomena. In the article author discusses a meme cycle known as `Advice Pole`, `Mr Andżej`, or `Pollack`. The visual joke, which is allowed to be defined as an ethnic joke (like polish joke type), is nevertheless developed and distributed by representatives of the group to which its subject belongs. Creating the alternate positions of the cycle, polish internet users are giving an expression to their understanding of local identity in both its cultural, national and ethnic dimension. Therefore, `Advice Pole` becomes an illustrative example of intragroup differentiation mechanisms.
