Abstract The article concerns issues of the quality of life, satisfaction with life, its determinants, methods of measuring these and their dependence on income and other factors . Quality of life is an abstract, rather vague term, and is determined by hundreds of factors. There is no clear-cut definition and measure of prosperity and economic wellbeing. It depends on individual attitude and vigor as well as political, economic and cultural conditions. Criteria for estimating economic well-being are universal and cultural, measurable and nonmeasurable, subjective and objective. People identify prosperity with wealth, affluence, exclusive consumption, broad availability of life choices, safety and happiness. In addition to economic indexes (GNP, GDP), human development indicators are also very important for estimating living standards. The quality of human capital has a significant impact on the level of social development. The article will make an attempt to propose a way of assessing quality of life using specially constructed parameters and indicators. To develop measures of integrated development, that best reflect the standard of living of the society is an important research task. An important part of this task is to define the changes in the economic situation of the most vulnerable groups.
