Abstract Recent years are a period of changes in the polish educational system not only concerning the ones in structures and functions of schools, but also considering the implementation of new standards of educating, new aims as well as requirements for the scientifically-educational staff. The culture of community is becoming in this meaning an important element of students’ socialisation as they are the ones, who are expected in the future, as adults, to be creators of the social life. Social sensitivity, critical thinking or an attitude of reflexivity among students, both in their current and future moves, are largely dependent on the values imparted them by the social-educational environment in schools.The culture of safety in schools is emphasised mostly in an creation of an invaluable social climate of peace and confidence that there is a particular moral and social order in reality, which enables both a human being and a collectivity to have a valuable life. A perfect way to raise a man to the culture of safety is an in-depth understanding of the value of dialogue in a relationship between teachers and students. Therefore it seems to be particularly vital to highlight the role of educational culture as well as communicational skills of teachers in creating the educational culture of safety. According to the thesis above, it is essential to emphasize that the major role in the creation of good social climate in schools plays the communication between student and a teacher, which should be based on free thoughts and views’ exchange. The realisation of the tasks from the sphere of strengthening safety in school requires from the teachers a systematic qualifications rising in the communicational field. A correct interpersonal communication in a school is a guarantee for all the educational process' participants' sense of security. The author will rise to such conceptions of the theory of social communication as J. Delia’s constructionism. In the light of this conception, the author will show how important is, in building educational culture of safety, the recognition of processes and mechanisms, which underlie arbitrary culture of safety’s theories. Knowledge of them and an ability to apply in a teacher-student relationship enables them to understand better both the meaning and the value of effective interpersonal communication as well as comprehend the fact, which factors have an influence on it.
