FIELD RESEARCH AND PREPARATION OF PUBLICATIONS AS AN EXAMPLE OF ACTIVATING YOUTH AS PART OF REGIONAL EDUCATION ORGANIZED IN CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS (on the Example of the Culture Researchers’ Club at the Municipal Culture Center in Czechowice-Dziedzice)

Streszczenie The aim of the article is to present the activities of the Culture Researchers’ Club organized at the Municipal Cultural Center in Czechowice-Dziedzice, which is guided by several important assumptions: regional and intercultural education, preparation of young people for a deeper understanding of culture and implementation of field research, recording elements of regional culture, and thus preserving memory about them, the preparation of books and the organization of cultural events. As a result of the activities of the Culture Researchers’ Club, four book publications devoted to the festive events in subsequent seasons of the year were published, four films discussing the same issues were made, and six festivals were organized. A significant effect of the project was the social and scientific involvement of young people, the mobilization of the older and middle generations of the commune's inhabitants, strengthening the intergenerational message, and arousing pride in the tradition of the "small homeland". The meetings of the Culture Researchers’ Club continue, its further project plans include exhibition activities and further field research, this time devoted to family rituals, and therefore to recognizing the customs and beliefs of the local community regarding important moments in the human life cycle.
